About This Practice
This is a meditation I wrote that lets you quiet your mind and disassociate from pain. I learned something similar from an instructor and wrote it into prose. It's rooted in Tibetan yoga — your brain can recover from exhaustion with just a 15 minute rest, unlike your body which takes 7 or 8 hours. It's a good practice if you take in a lot of information during the day.
There are also six yoga poses that go with it that stimulate areas in your body to release stress and let you sleep.
If you're reading it yourself you are active and not able to disconnect, so you need someone to read it to you in a calm, hypnotic voice, or record yourself and play it back.
When I meditate it moves me to the out of body, and the words come.
· · · · ·
join me on a journey
sit back where you are
your arms stretched out and down
your back rested and your head at ease
begin to breathe
and focus on the experience of breathing
let it be everything
let go of your tension
so that your breathing becomes effortless
let your soul be free
focus on the experience of breathing
so that you are centered
now as the thoughts in your mind
bubble up from your subconscious
realize each of everything
recognize each thought
and then accept what your mind's eye sees
and then let go of the thought
and enter into the next thing
as you do this you will neutralize
the thoughts that consume your mind
· · ·
the vibrations
as you continue to breathe
notice the sound of your breathing
as you breathe in your breathing sounds like so
as you breathe out your breathing sounds like hum
as you breathe in and out
and feel the vibrations of your breathing
and the sound so hum
then let your mind be freed
and your body fall to rest
slip away to
as the vibrations of your song
touch your body and soul
you will realize the walls and shells
that we live in with the physical world
as they unfold and slip away
and leave your soul
for you to see your mind's eye
the bubble that you feel is your mind's eye
and will expand as you need
and you will begin your travel to infinity
let it be everything
let it be everything
these are the thoughts
that come to my page
it is the age of the soul

Practice Notes
This meditation is rooted in Tibetan yoga. Your brain can recover from exhaustion with just 15 minutes of this practice, unlike the body which requires 7–8 hours of sleep.
For best results, have someone read this to you in a calm, hypnotic voice, or record yourself reading it slowly and play it back. Reading it yourself keeps you active and unable to fully disconnect.
There are six yoga poses that accompany this meditation. They stimulate areas in your body to release stress and prepare you for sleep.
The mantra so hum means "I am that" — connecting your individual breath to the universal vibration.
